Police: Man Stole Two Gaming Systems From Niles Store

(STMW) -- A man stole two gaming systems from a north suburban store last week after talking to an employee for about 30 minutes, police said.

The man entered the store in the 9600 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Niles about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and talked to an employee about different gaming systems for about half an hour, according to Niles police.

Once the other customers had left the store, the man asked for an Xbox One and PlayStation 4, police said. When the employee brought the items to the desk, the man told the employee he was taking them.

When the employee said no, the suspect pushed the employee back and said he had a gun, police said. He did not show a gun and fled the store with the gaming systems.

The suspect is described as a white man between 35 and 45, about 6-foot-2 and slender, police said. He was wearing a baseball cap, gray jacket and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Niles police at (847) 588-6500.
