Police: Man Sexually Assaulted Woman After Following Her From Harrison Red Line Station

(CBS) -- Chicago Police have released surveillance images of a suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman after she left the CTA Harrison Red Line Station early Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old woman was walking in the 600 block of South Plymouth Court between 3 and 3:35 a.m. and was followed from the station by the offender. Police say the attacker grabbed the woman and hit her with a blunt object. He took the victim to a secluded area, sexually assaulted her and fled in an unknown direction with the victim's purse.

The man is described as a black man between 20-27,5'08" to 5'10" tall; 145 to 180 lbs, brown eyes and short hair. Police say he was wearing a black leather jacket, black hoody, a White Sox baseball cap, light colored jeans and gym shoes.
