Police: Male Fatally Shot In Little Village
(STMW) -- A male was shot in the face and killed Friday night in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
The male, thought to be between the ages of 16 and 20, was standing in the street about 11 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Central Park, when another male walked up, yelled gang slogans and opened fire, police said.
He was shot beneath his right eye and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not be reached early Saturday to confirm the fatality.
