Police: 4-Year-old Child Critically Hurt In Pool Accident At Warrenville Lifetime Fitness
(STMW) -- A 4-year-old was hospitalized after staff at a west suburban Warrenville fitness facility found the child at the bottom of a pool on Thursday.
Police and fire officials responded to Lifetime Fitness, 28141 Diehl Road, at 2:20 p.m. after a staff member found the child unresponsive in the pool, Warrenville Police Sgt. Bruce VanWankum said.
The child, whose gender wasn't released, was pulled out before emergency crews arrived and taken in critical condition to Edward Hospital in Naperville, VanWankum said.
Preliminary information shows it was an accident, but VanWankum said he had no additional information.
