Police: Two Men Killed In West Side Hit-And-Run, Driver In Custody

(CBS) --Two men are dead after a hit-and-run accident Saturday night on the Northwest Side.

Chicago Police say the two men were in the crosswalk - crossing North Avenue at Kildare - when they were hit by a 2002 Buick.

Behind the wheel: a 24-year-old Chicago man. Police say DUI is suspected and charges are pending.

That driver is accused of hitting the two men, then driving on and hitting three parked cars a couple of blocks away.

Police say they are looking at security video of the hit-and-run.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Ramon Cruz, 36, and Pablo Esquivel-Vega, who is in his 50's.
