2 suspects caught after police chase through west Chicago suburbs
WILLOW SPRINGS, Ill. (CBS) -- Police apprehended two suspects after a lengthy search late Wednesday, after a man who ditched a van following a long police chase through several western suburbs.
The chase started after possible a theft in Oak Brook. Two thieves in a minivan drove at times as fast as 100 miles an hour down Interstates 88, 355, and 55, eventually ending in Willow Springs.
Police caught one man soon afterward, but searched for hours for the other.
The second suspect was also in custody by 6 p.m., after the search in the area of Howard Avenue and 80th Place in Willow Springs. Authorities said a police helicopter, drones, and K-9's were used to find the suspect.
