Police Arrest Suspect In Pilsen Church Vandalism

(CBS) -- Chicago Police confirm they've arrested a suspect for vandalism this past weekend at a church in Pilsen.

This latest vandalism included a swastika painted on the door of Lincoln United Methodist Church, near 23rd and Damen.

Pastor Emma Lozano says it was the sixth time the church has been targeted.

But this time, the church was prepared. They had security cameras rolling.

Lozano says after she made the video public, the vandal was recognized.  Police were called, and the man was arrested.

"Even if nothing happens to him, he knows now that we have cameras. He knows that the community is watching," Lozano says.

The suspect lives near the church, she says.
