Pig-fat Material Spill In Northwest Indiana Closes Ramp At Cline And Borman; Cleanup May Take A Week
CHICAGO (CBS) -- If it smells like bacon in Northwest Indiana there's a very good reason.
Officials say a company spilled a pig-fat based material on the ramp connecting Cline Avenue to the Borman Expressway.
RAMP CLOSURE–SR 912 (Cline Ave) and I-94; The ramp connecting SB Cline Ave to EB I-80/94 will be closed up to a week after a private company spilled a substance Wed. The spill is not hazardous to the public, but the ramp is closed for several days while crews will work around the clock to clean up the spill.
