Pickup Truck Crashes Into Glenview Home

CHICAGO (STMW) -- The driver of a pickup was hospitalized after crashing the truck into a house early Thursday morning in north suburban Glenview.

The pickup struck a brick home about 7:15 a.m. in the 3200 block of Potter Road, just north of the intersection of Hammersmith Drive, according to Glenview police Sgt. Patrick Schuster.

The truck was apparently southbound on Potter when it veered to the right and off the road, according to Schuster.

The driver — a male whose age was not immediately known — was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with non-life-threatening injuries, Schuster said.

One person was inside the home at the time of the crash, but was not hurt, though both the home and truck sustained major damage.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Schuster said. No charges had been filed as of early Thursday afternoon.
