PHOTOS: Ebola Screenings Conducted At O'Hare

CHICAGO (CBS) -- We are getting the first look at the procedures to screen airline passengers for Ebola at O'Hare International Airport.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection took the photographs on Thursday of technicians conducting screening measures on passengers arriving from Sierra Leone at Terminal 5.

The two people in the room--one from the Coast Guard and another from Customs, are wearing surgical masks, gloves and visor to protect from splatters.

The passengers' temperature is taken while they appear to be interviewed by the Customs official.

The passengers are also wearing surgical masks during the procedure.

These measures will be in place at the five U.S. airports where about 94 percent of travelers from Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone arrive, according to the Customs office.

"Personnel receive training in illness recognition, but if they identify an individual believed to be infected, [Customs] will contact CDC along with local public health authorities to help with further medical evaluation. The traveler would be isolated from the traveling public while the CDC and local public health authorities conduct an evaluation."
