LOMBARD (CBS) -- A west suburban man who was out to pick up a gallon of milk allegedly drove his car through a window and into a 7-Eleven convenience store Sunday morning in Lombard.

Junior A. Espinal, 32, allegedly crashed his 2004 Acura about 9 a.m. through the front glass window of the store near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Lloyd Avenue, according to a statement from the DuPage County Sheriff's office.

When deputies arrived, the car was still running in the middle of the store, police said. A store clerk said the driver ran away after the crash.

Police later tracked down Espinal, who fit the clerk's description and allegedly told deputies he was pulling in to pick up a gallon of milk when the brake pedal stuck on his car.

No one was hurt, police said.

Espinal, of the 800 block of Foxwell in Lombard, was taken to the DuPage County Jail on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to inform the owner of the property and driving without a valid driver's license.
