Person Of Interest Questioned In Connection With Sexual Abuse Of Child In Chicago McDonald's Flagship Bathroom
CHICAGO (CBS)-- A toddler was steps away from her parent when she was sexually abused inside the McDonald's Chicago flagship restaurant in River North.
As CBS 2'S Charlie De Mar reported, police had a person of interest in custody Wednesday night. He was being questioned by detectives and could face charges.
Police on Tuesday released surveillance images of a man, after a 3-year-old girl said she was touched inappropriately in a restroom at the McDonald's at 600 N. Clark St. at Ontario Street – formerly the Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's.
The incident happened at just before 9 a.m. Monday, police said.
The 35-year-old man who was in the restaurant witnessed the girl being snatched into a stall and called police.
The girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, police said.
It was not clear Wednesday night whether the man in the surveillance images was the same man who was in custody Wednesday night.
