Driver killed in serious crash in northwest Chicago suburbs
PALATINE, Ill. (CBS) -- A driver is dead after a serious crash in Palatine Monday afternoon.
The accident happened at Quentin Road and Hillside Street, CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reported. Police were called to the scene at 2:54 p.m.
A car headed north on Quentin Road crossed off the roadway, went through a light pole, and ended up on backwards on someone's front lawn. The car also hit a residence, police said.
The car was seriously damaged, and the driver was reported. The driver, a woman, was pronounced dead.
She was the only one in the car, police said.
The Major Case Assistance Team's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit was called to the scene to investigate along with Palatine police.
