Padres Defeat White Sox, 10-4

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- Tyson Ross pitched one-hit shutout ball for five innings, Cameron Maybin hit two-run double and the San Diego Padres defeated the Chicago White Sox 10-4 Monday.

The only hit allowed by Ross was a fly ball to center by Conor Gillaspie in the fourth than Maybin lost in the sun and landed for a double.

Jedd Gyorko had three hits for the Padres.

Jose Quintana carried a shutout in the fifth but wound up allowing four runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Andy Wilkins hit a three-run double for the White Sox in the ninth.
