Truck Crash In Little Village Causes Power Outage

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A truck struck a light pole Wednesday morning in the Southwest Side Little Village neighborhood.

Two garbage trucks were involved in the crash at 31st and Drake, according to Fire Media Affairs.

One of the trucks struck a 12,000-volt power line, leading to power outages in the neighborhood, according to Fire Media. ComEd is at the scene.

Update: looks like the garbage truck drove through and had its back end raised and clipped the lines...the explosion looked like lightning from the initial hit and shaking of the whole house.

One of the truck drivers was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Fire Media.
