One Of Four Takes Plea Deal In Grisly Joliet Murders
(STMW) -- One of four people charged with murder in the grisly slayings of two Joliet men last year pleaded guilty to lesser charges Thursday, the SouthtownStar is reporting.
Alisa Massaro, one of those charged with the murders of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and two counts of concealment of a homicide.
Will County Judge Gerald Kinney accepted her plea — part of an agreement that includes a 10-year prison sentence and credit for time served in jail.
Joshua Miner, Adam Landerman and Bethany McKee, are also charged in the notorious January 2013 killings that took place in Massaro's Joliet home.
Authorities have said the four robbed and strangled Glover and Rankins, and then Landerman and Massaro continued to party and play video games with Miner.
A source also confirmed for the Chicago Sun-Times that police reports, which contain conflicting interviews with the suspects, allege that Miner and Massaro had sex on the victims' bodies.
The group allegedly planned to dismember the bodies before disposing of them, according to the reports, and they talked about keeping the teeth as trophies.
The deal came a day before Kinney was expected to rule on a motion to try all four defendants separately.
Massaro will serve two five-year terms consecutively for robbing each of the two victims, and will serve two three- year terms concurrently with the other terms for concealing the homicides.
Rankins' family members were in court, but declined comment.
