One Critically Injured In Chatham House Fire

(STMW) -- A person was critically injured in a Chatham neighborhood house fire Sunday afternoon on the South Side.

Crews responded about 4 p.m. to the blaze in the basement and first floor of the home in the 7700 block of South Champlain, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

One person was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, fire officials said.

Additional details weren't immediately available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
