Old Illinois 89 Bridge Implodes Over Illinois River In Spring Valley

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Illinois 89 bridge over the Illinois River in Spring Valley can be seen imploding in a video released by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Spring Valley is located about 100 miles west of Chicago. 

According to IDOT, crews imploded two southern truss spans of the bridge Tuesday morning. IDOT officials say the remaining spans will be taken down in the coming weeks.
