Chicago Air And Water Show Gets Late Start Due To Severe Weather
CHICAGO (CBS)-- The Chicago Air and Water Show opening was delayed because of storms Sunday.
Severe thunderstorms warnings were issued Sunday morning throughout the Chicago area and neighboring counties.
But once skies cleared, the show went on as planned – with flights by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights.
"The weather threw us for a bit of a loop but nice work everyone on keeping it together to give this great city a great show," the show's staff said on Facebook.
