Oduya Injured In Blackhawks' Loss To Boston

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Blackhawks lost more than their Sunday matinee with the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

Defenseman Johnny Oduya suffered an upper-body injury early in the first period of Chicago's 6-2 loss and would not return. The Blackhawks were forced to maneuver their defense with five players.

"We'll know more tomorrow," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "We'll see how he is. Upper body [injury], but we'll see. Might miss a few [games]."

Oduya has just two goals and three assists while posting a minus-9 mark this season. The Blackhawks are soon anticipating the return of rookie defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk, who suffered a leg injury in November.

Chicago suffered its most lopsided loss of the season on Sunday, its second straight defeat.
