NW Indiana Man Charged With Killing Mother In Hospital
(CBS) -- Police in Merrillville say a man murdered his mother while she was in the hospital.
Police say 60-year-old Rodney Louis Dickinson stabbed his mother to death in Methodist Hospital, prompting the institution to go on lockdown Friday morning.
80-year-old Margarine Haywood died in the hospital. Dickinson is charged with her murder.
Her 88-year-old husband was found dead in their Gary home. So far, no charges have been filed in his death.
