Nursing Home Receive Big Fine For COVID Violations
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A suburban nursing home getting slapped with a big fine. They're accused of not protecting its workers from COVID-19.
The U.S. Labor Department says West Suburban Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bloomingdale should pay a penalty of more than $83,000.
OSHA investigators recently did a follow-up inspection at the facility, more than a year after an employee died of COVID. They found six violations including failing to test the fit of its workers' N-95 respirator masks.
