Family and friends of Noah Enos gather for vigil at Salt Shed

Vigil held for Noah Enos, man found dead in Chicago River after attending Salt Shed concert

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Friends and family gathered Friday night to honor Noah Enos, the man who was found dead in the Chicago River near the Salt Shed concert venue.

The 26-year-old was last seen with a coworker at a concert by the Australian rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard at the Salt Shed. CBS 2 was told the coworker left without Enos, and he never returned home.

His family and loved ones gathered at sunset Friday night in front of the Salt Shed.

At sunset Friday evening, his family gathered at the former Morton Salt factory turned concert venue, at 1357 N. Elston Ave., to remember Enos.

"Before this happened, I didn't think this was real. This is stuff in nightmares. This is stuff that doesn't exist," said Enos' girlfriend, Nicole Wijs, "and it's a complete wake-up call that it's real."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chicago Police Department Area 5 Special Victims Unit at (312) 746-6554.
