Naperville Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 16-Year-Old Boy

(STMW) -- A west suburban middle school teacher accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy on New Year's Day has been ordered held on a $300,000 bond.

Christine Taylor, 44, was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a statement from the DuPage County state's attorney's office. Taylor is a teacher at Jefferson Junior High School in Naperville.

Taylor hosted the 16-year-old boy and his mother at her house for pizza Friday in the 1100 block of Spring Garden Circle in Naperville, according to prosecutors.

About 9 p.m., Taylor convinced the teenage boy's mother to allow him to walk Taylor's dog with her, prosecutors said. Instead of walking the dog, Taylor took him up to her bedroom and sexually abused him.

The woman caught Taylor sexually abusing her son, and another occupant of the home called authorities and she was arrested, prosecutors said.

"While the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms. Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in the statement.

Judge John Demling set Taylor's bond at $300,000 in court Sunday. Calls to Jefferson Junior High and Naperville District 203 were not immediately returned Sunday morning.
