My Block, My Hood, My City Lights Up South Side By Decorating Homes For The Holidays
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Volunteers with the nonprofit, My Block, My Hood, My City are lighting up parts of the South Side.
They decorated homes along King Drive from 35th to 115th Street.
It is part of the campaign called Be a Part of the Light. They put up lights, ornaments and wreaths to make the neighborhoods beautiful and festive for the holiday season.
The homeowners also received gift cards and other items donated by local businesses.
