Mourners Say Goodbye To Slain Daughter Of Community Activist

(CBS) -- As a community activist, he's supported parents who lost their children to violence.

This weekend, Andrew Holmes will go to the funeral of his own adult daughter, killed last month by a gunman in Indianapolis.

CBS 2's Mike Parker reports from Englewood, where the visitation for Tamara Sword started Friday night.

Holmes, the award-winning crisis responder who's fought street crime for years, is preparing to bury his daughter, a victim herself of that violence.

Chicago police officers and public officials alike stopped by to lend support to Holmes.

A fund has been set up to benefit Sword's children. It is the Tamara Sword Memorial Account, Chase Bank Account 3007993032.
