Moose Lodge Raising Money For California Wildfire Victims

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A local Moose lodge has been trying to raise some money to help people forced from their homes because of the California wildfires.

The Lockport Moose Lodge has been collecting donations to send to a fellow lodge in Clearlake Oaks, California, just north of San Francisco. That lodge has been housing and feeding 150 people forced to evacuate their homes due to wildfires this summer.

"We have a website, lockportmoose.com, and we have a donate button on there, and we're asking people to go on our website, and donate any amount they want," said Lockport Moose Lodge administrator Bruce Davis.

Davis said, if there were a natural disaster in Lockport, such as a tornado, his lodge would do the same thing the one in California has done: open its doors to help people.
