Woman charged after leaving 3 minors unattended inside Belmont Cragin residence

CHICAGO (CBS) – Three minors were found unattended inside a residence in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood Saturday morning.

Chicago police say around 6:34 a.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of N. Keating Avenue for a well-being check and located the children, ages 2, 4, and 11 with no parent or guardian around.

They were taken to Community First Hospital for observation.

They are now staying with a family member. 

Police arrested and charged Darielle Davis, 26, with three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the neglect of a child and three misdemeanor counts of causing a child to be endangered.

It's not clear what her relationship with the children is or how long they were alone in the home.
