Merrillville's Star Plaza To Be Torn Down For New Hotel
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A "Who's Who" of music legends once played there.
Now an iconic building in Northwest Indiana is about to go in the history books.
Star Plaza Theater, which opened in 1979 in Merrillville, is shutting its doors next year.
The building will be torn down in the spring.
The management there says they will continue to have concerts up until demolition.
The next chapter for Star Plaza: A new state of the art hotel and restaurant.
