Man Shot, Killed In Car Near Mather Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening near Mather Park in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.
Police said at 6:47 p.m., the 28-year-old man was a passenger in a vehicle in the 6000 block of North California Avenue, near Peterson Avenue, when a man came up and fired shots.
The man was rushed to AMITA Health St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
As of Tuesday evening, no one was in custody. Area Three detectives were investigating.
