Man Wounded In Shooting On I-57 In South Suburbs
(CBS) -- One person is recovering from a drive-by shooting that shutdown a portion of the I-57 expressway early Saturday morning.
Illinois State Police say the victims were traveling north between 147th and the Cal Sag when a white SUV pulled alongside and fired shots around 3:40 a.m.
The driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail. One of the passengers was struck by a bullet and taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
Police are investigating.
