Man Tried To Sexually Assault Woman Near Lincoln Park Zoo

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man attempted to sexually assault a woman who was exercising near Lincoln Park Zoo, police said.

The incident occurred about 7:55 p.m. on Monday near 1755 N. Stockton Drive, police said.

The woman was on the path when the man hit her from behind with an unknown object and attempted to sexually assault her, police said.

The woman got away and was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The suspect is described as a 20- to 50-year-old man, between 6-1 and 6-4 and very skinny.

He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, spoke in a coarse manner and had a "foul personal body odor."
