Man shot, wounded in car in Chicago's West Rogers Park neighborhood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man sitting in a car was shot and wounded in the West Rogers Park, or West Ridge, neighborhood late Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:35 p.m., the 46-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle in the 2500 block of West Touhy Avenue, when another car came up and a man got out.

The second man took out a gun and fired shots at the man in the car, police said. The victim was taken to Ascension St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and arm, and was reported in fair condition.

No one was in custody late Wednesday. Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
