Man Shot On West Englewood Porch

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old was standing on the front porch of a home in the 5700 block of South Throop Street about 10:30 p.m. when he felt pain and realized he had been shot in the shoulder and leg, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stable early Wednesday, Gaines said.

Police said the man has documented gang affiliations.
