Man Shot In Brighton Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot Tuesday night in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 11:20 p.m., the 22-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of South Kedzie Avenue when the male driver of a white SUV fired shots in his direction, police said.

The man was shot in the abdomen and left arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a self-admitted gang member.
