Man Shot, Critically Wounded On Front Lawn In Woodlawn

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot and critically wounded Monday evening on the front lawn of a home in Woodlawn.

The shooting happened at 6:57 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 62nd Street, police said.

Officers found the 25-year-old man on the lawn with gunshot wounds to the neck and abdomen, police said.

The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

Area One detectives were investigating.
