Man Shot, Critically Wounded In Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and critically wounded early Tuesday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 35-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 3:40 a.m. in the 4900 block of West Huron when two males walked up, one of whom pulled out a gun and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the chest and right arm and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
