Man Shot And Killed In Lawndale
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot to death early Tuesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found at 3:57 a.m. lying on the ground unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the death but withheld his name pending notification of his family.
Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
