Man Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run In Logan Square

(STMW) -- A man was seriously injured early Saturday in a hit-and-run crash in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 1:40 a.m., a vehicle was driving east on Cortland when the driver ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle headed north on Rockwell, police said.

A 23-year-old man in the car that was struck was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious but stable condition, police said. Another passenger in the vehicle refused medical attention.

The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot, police said.
