Man Robs South Loop Bank At Knifepoint

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man armed with a knife robbed a bank Tuesday morning in the South Loop.

The man entered the Fifth Third Bank branch at 601 S. Clark St. at 9:36 a.m. with a knife and demanded cash, according to police and the FBI.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 40s or 50s, about 5-foot-7 with a slender build, authorities said. He was wearing an orange hat with a dolphin logo and gray polo shirt.
