Man Robs Little Village Bank, Second Heist In A Week

(STMW) -- A man suspected of robbing a Near West Side bank last week held up another bank branch Monday, officials said.

Monday's robbery happened about 9:15 a.m. at a Chase Bank branch at 3101 W. Cermak, according to FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde.

A male entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and demanded money, police said. He left with an unknown amount of cash, police said. No one was injured.

Authorities suspect the same man robbed a PNC Bank branch March 31 at 2154 W. Madison St., Hyde said.

He is described as a 6-foot black man with a slim build. During Monday's robbery, he wore a black jacket and pants. In last week's robbery, he wore a red jacket, blue jeans and white shoes.
