Man Dies After Logan Square Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man died Tuesday night after he and another man were shot in the Logan Square neighborhood early that morning.
Bernardo Catalan, 19, and a 23-year-old man told police they were in a car driving behind another vehicle about 1:05 a.m. in an alley in the 1900 block of North Rockwell Street, authorities said.
A person got out of the vehicle and fired shots at the car they were in before driving away, Gaines said. The men then drove themselves to the Shakespeare District police station.
Both men were transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Gaines said.
Catalan, of the 2100 block of North Bingham Street, was pronounced dead there at 9:29 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
The 23-year-old was in "stable" condition with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg, Gaines said.
Area North detectives are investigating.
