Man Critically Wounded In South Loop Stabbing

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was stabbed in the neck and critically wounded Monday night in the South Loop.

The attack happened about 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of West 18th Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Nicole Trainor.

He initially was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition but was downgraded to critical, Trainor said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
