Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 6-Year-Old Girl At Party
GLENVIEW, Ill. (STMW) -- A north suburban man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl at a birthday party last weekend.
Martin Flores, 25, of Northbrook was charged Tuesday with criminal sexual assault of a child, Glenview police said in a statement.
At a bond hearing in Skokie, he was ordered held on a $250,000 bond, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's office. Judge Marguerite Quinn also ordered him to submit to electronic monitoring if he does post bail.
Flores sexually assaulted the 6-year-old girl at a birthday party Saturday at a home in Glenview, state's attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said, citing court records.
He was arrested Tuesday afternoon and admitted the assault to officers, police said. The girl was not related to Flores, prosecutors said.
Flores, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk in Northbrook, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 11 in Skokie.
