Man Charged With Robbing Downers Grove Pizza Restaurant

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 48-year-old man has been charged with robbing a west suburban pizza restaurant early Sunday.

About 12:30 a.m., James Himpler walked into the Domino's Pizza at 5531 Belmont Road in unincorporated Downers Grove, implied that he had a weapon and robbed a clerk at the counter, according to the DuPage County sheriff's office.

Himpler, of the 4800 block of Oakwood Avenue in Downers Grove, was arrested late Sunday afternoon, police said. He faces felony charges of aggravated robbery, attempted robbery, eluding a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was scheduled to appear in bond court on Monday morning.
