Man Charged In Ford Heights Homicide
(CBS) -- A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a homicide in Ford Heights last February, the Cook County Sheriff's office said.
On Feb. 12, Cook County Sheriff's police were alerted to a shooting in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway in Ford Heights. Officers found a man unresponsive inside a Jeep Cherokee, police said.
The victim, 35-year-old Michael Armstrong, was shot multiple times and transported to a hospital where he died.
Police say Armstrong was in the driver's seat when Shaquille Williams of Markham opened fire. Williams, 21, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder on Saturday.
He is scheduled to appear in bond court on Sunday.
