Man charged in armed robbery at West Town Family Dollar

CHICAGO (CBS) — A Chicago man was charged in the armed robbery of a Family Dollar store in the West Town neighborhood on Wednesday.

Johnny Hunt, 27, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of armed robbery.

Police said the suspect was arrested around 9:43 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Rockwell Street.  

Hunt was identified as one of the offenders who, less than 20 minutes earlier, entered the store in the 2700 block of West North Avenue and took money at gunpoint.

He is schedueld to appear at a detention hearing on Friday.
