Man, 21, Fatally Shot At North Side Car Wash
(STMW) -- A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in the North Side Edgewater neighborhood Thursday afternoon, police said.
The man was in the 5900 block of North Ridge about 4:45 p.m. when he was shot in the back, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said. CBS 2 observed a crime-scene investigation at a car wash business.
Devone Matthews, of the 6100 block of North Damen, was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m., the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
