Man Slashed In The Face In Irving Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was cut in the face with a knife early Wednesday in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 36-year-old man was slashed about 1:10 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue, police said.

He suffered minor lacerations to the face during an argument with an acquaintance, police said.

He was taken in good condition to Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said. As of 7 a.m., the man had already been released from the hospital.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
