Male In Custody After Barricade Situation In Albany Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A person was arrested after a barricade situation that lasted nearly four hours Tuesday morning in the Albany Park neighborhood on the North Side.

Authorities responded to the barricade situation in the 4400 block of North Drake Avenue about 3:20 a.m., police said. It was not yet clear why police were originally called to the scene.

The male, whose age was not immediately known, was arrested without incident about 7 a.m., police said. No injuries were reported.

CTA's No. 78 Montrose buses were rerouted in both directions via Montrose, Pulaski, Elston, Irving Park, Kimball, and Montrose, according to the transit agency.
